Aamir Khan recently flew to Turkey for the shooting of his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. Due to the corona pandemic, the shooting of the movie couldn't be resumed in India. According to the reports Aamir Khan was invited to the presidential residence at the Huber Mansion in Istanbul on Saturday, India’s 74th Independence Day where he met Emine Erdogan.Aamir Khan was congratulated by Emine Erdogan for addressing the social issues in his movies. She wrote on her official twitter account “I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie Laal Singh Chaddha in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!”

The pictures of Aamir Khan and Emine Erdogan went viral on social media and Twitterati’s aren't happy with it because of the ongoing conflicts between India and Turkey.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. Earlier the movie was set to release this year on Christmas but due to the pandemic the production of the film is yet to be finished. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Sethupati and Mona Singh. Ajit Andhare, Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 18 Studios said the team is currently focusing on completing the film. Laal Singh Chaddha is produced under the banner of Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions. The music is given by Pritam and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.Aamir Khan last seen in the movie “Thugs of Hindostan”.
