Taarak Mehta Ka Oaltah Chashmah has recently completed 12 successful years and it is one of the most loved shows on television. The show has been entertaining the viewer since it has launched and has gained popularity over the years. The show has an ensemble cast whose performances on screen have been appreciated and along with this it has an engaging content.While the show has been loved by the viewers but now the quality of the content has taken a dip. In an interview with Daya Shanker Pandey who has been the part of the show and can be seen on the show playing the recurring character Inspector Chalu Pandey, he said that the content is getting repetitive and monotonous to an extent.Daya said "I’m thankful to the audience for staying with us throughout such a long journey of 12 years and more is yet to come. Lots of good stories and performance are waiting in the studio. The actors, writers, producers, directors are loaded with a lot of creativity that they wish to give back to the audience in return for the immense love that they have given to the show the past 12 years. The reason behind its longevity is that the storyline and performances are very natural and close to the common man’s thinking. People can relate to the show’s content and actors and believe that the narrative on TV is their own story, there might be another section of the audience that searches for something else in the show that suits their interests. Personally, I think the reason audience likes the show because we try to relate to their emotions every time and they love to connect with us."He even said that he is glad that the show is loved by the people not only from India but outside as well and even his character is loved by the viewers. He added that it is difficult to make a comedy show and on top of that the show  has completed 12 years. The whole team is excited and is committed to deliver the best they can.
