Irrfan Khans son Babil wins IIFA Award

Late actor Irrfan Khan was recognized for his super screen presence and his son Bbail is taking his legacy forward. The young actor bagged his first award on the IIFA event in abu Dhabi for his debut film 'Qala'. Babil shared the pleasant debut (male) award with Shantanu Maheshwari of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' reputation. Reacting to the huge win, Babil's mom Sutapa said that it's far nothing short of heartwarming

Sutapa Sikdar walked the inexperienced carpet at the IIFA Awards on Saturday with Babil and stated that her son's achievement has made her satisfied and emotional. "It feels top notch. I suppose notable is a regularly occurring word, it touches here (coronary heart). I wish and desire that Irrfan is calling up from there,” she instructed PTI.Irrfan died on the age of fifty four in April 2020, following a struggle with an extraordinary shape of cancer. Sutapa said the past due actor made a decision to maintain his  sons -- Babil and Ayaan -- faraway from the limelight.

"Irrfan was not very fond of taking the kids to award functions. He saved them faraway from the limelight completely. So they have got hardly ever been to any award features,” Sutapa stated. She introduced that her fondest memory of attending an award characteristic with Irrfan turned into at the Spirit Awards inside the US in 2008.

Irrfan was nominated for the first-rate helping male award for his performance in Mira Nair’s significantly-acclaimed drama “The Namesake”.
