After ruling the silver display screen, Kajol made her OTT debut with 'The Trial - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha.' A gripping trial of existence as Noyonika (Kajol) navigates through the curveballs lifestyles throws at her. While many love her in extreme roles, a few nevertheless desires to see her as the playful Anjali from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.' Amid this, speaking an occasion, Kajol recalled how she nearly did a film with acclaimed director Mani Ratnam. Things, however, did not materialise since she had dedicated her dates to filmmaker Karan Johar for Rahul-Anjali's 1998 film KKHH.I became alleged to shoot for 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and at that point, I got an offer from Mani Ratnam to do a film for him. First of all, I didn't consider I got a suggestion from Mr Ratnam. But matters didn't exercise session because I had committed those dates to Karan for 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. A lot of people told me 'You have to have completed Mani sir's movie'. At that point, I felt that my commitment became extra essential and it worked in my favour," she recalled.

Asked to choose among her  popular characters Simran from "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and Anjali from "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", the forty eight-year-vintage picked the latter.

If she have been writing the evolution of Anjali, the actor later said the individual would be dressed like a rapper in music pants. "Today, you could say 'Anjali should not have worn a saree' or 'Why failed to Rahul fall for her while she was in track pants?' You can ask these questions right now, but the Raj and Anjali of that point possibly fell in love because of precisely that. Times have modified and so has the definition of love," she added.
