Kartik had an exciting reaction to this.  Asked why he become 'after' movie star Akshay Kumar and wants to do sequels of his movies Hera Pheri and Housefull, Kartik replied, “I am a huge fan of Akshay Kumar Sir. These calls are made via the manufacturers and directors. I did not want to do those roles, but I got the offers. Producers and directors feel they are able to put the sequels on my shoulder. They know how professional I am, and the way I may be creatively concerned. It’s not that every one sequels turn out to be hits. There is greater stress to perform in sequels. Maybe they (manufacturers) noticed my work, and concept I would carry out higher inside the sequels, from anything style, whether romance, horror or comedy.”
