Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai commences with Abhira supplying a toffee to Armaan and inspiring him to devour it. Armaan expresses gratitude and eats the toffee, whilst Abhira receives a toy tortoise. They percentage a light-hearted moment, with Armaan teasing her. Abhira considers the toy a great luck charm and jokingly labels Armaan as "mad." Despite their banter, she needs him achievement in Rohit's case.

Armaan, in turn, prays for luck and eavesdrops on Abhira. He overhears her screaming at someone and discovers it's Ruhi.
